While the essentials are, well, essential… here at The LIGHT Group we encourage well-rounded development of skills and interests! To that end, we offer a selection of “extras” classes each semester that focus on skill-building, exploration of new interests, and an appreciation for our world. Each semester the classes differ based on the availability of our parents and surrounding community to teach in areas they are skilled in and passionate about. You can read about the Fall 2026 semester classes below. Please register for all A La Carte classes by September 1, 2026!
Fall 2026 Information
Monday A La Carte classes will run for 8 weeks at the Pavilion Baptist Church on the following dates:
September 21 ~ September 28 ~ October 5 ~ October 19 ~ October 26 ~ November 2 ~ November 9 ~ November 16 // Make up date: November 30
Friday Nature classes will run for 8 weeks at the Genesee County Park or otherwise specified location on the following dates:
September 18 ~ September 25 ~ October 2 ~ October 9 ~ October 23 ~ October 30 ~ November 6 ~ November 13 // Make up date: November 20
Schedule: Please arrive at 12:45-12:55 p.m. for our A La Carte classes on Mondays. We will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Parents are welcome to stay during this time, or you may drop your children off. All students must be picked up by 2:50 p.m. each day. Please note: If your child is not enrolled in a class during each time period, a parent must be present with them during their free period.
Nature classes will run from 1:30-3:00 p.m. on Fridays. Parents are encouraged to stay with their younger children unless otherwise discussed with teacher.
